LET PIONEER DESIGN A STRESS FREE DEPANELING* SYSTEM FOR YOU!

Pioneer-Dietecs Corporation is pleased to offer a complete line of USA manufactured depaneling systems for close tolerance singulating of printed circuit boards.  These presses feature unique floating die plates that eliminate time consuming die installation and expensive setup costs required for close tolerance registration.  Die changes can be made in 30 seconds

Methodology: Typically, an operator will register the panel on tooling-hole pin locators on the lower die plate.  Closing a cover will trigger the operation, shuttling the lower die plate on linear guide rails into the press.  After depaneling takes place, the shuttle table automatically returns to the home position and the cover opens, allowing the operator to remove the singulated PCB’s.  The entire cycle, loading to unloading, can take as little as four to six seconds.

The presses offered range from manually operated shuttle table models, to automatic shuttle table models. Systems can be our proprietary and simple Air-logic or Allen-Bradley SLC 5/04 Programmable Logic Microprocessors.  Prices range from $9,990 to $59,990 depending upon the tonnage required (from 2 tons to 25 tons), dies sizes (up to 600 mm x 600 mm), and desired features.

Dies can safely singulate within ½ mm of ceramic components and fine trace lines with no stress or strain to adversely affect delicate PCB’s, semiconductors or  other delicate applications. Works equally well on skip-tab-routed or v-scored arrays. The secret is that the boards are simultaneously captured by knife-edged blades from the top and bottom, so all the forces are directed between the blade tips. The result is Stress Free Singulating.

Series 2000 Semi - Automatic Presses

S2000 Series Presses: This versatile press design is a down-acting four-post platen press with rigid journaled bushings for extreme cutting accuracy. Standard tonnage is twelve tons to 22 tons in an all-pneumatic, simple to maintain air-logic configuration. These pneumatic systems are very popular in third-world installations where technical staff may not be readily available for programming and maintaining more complicated PLC controlled systems. Hydraulic power up to 45 tons is available, as are PLC controlled systems.  Activating palm buttons will trigger the operation, shuttling the lower die plate on THK linear guide rails into the press.

Robotic Depaneling Cell Options:

The S2000 Platform design lends itself easily to in-line integration. The top of the press   can be easily removed to have robotic access to the lower shuttle table for pick & place of arrays and singulated PCB’s. The S2000 press can be seen in the rear of the cell behind the robot n the lower left picture. The lower right picture shows the singulated PCB’s being removed by the robot.
